Do the Charleston

28 Nov

A leisurely start to the day, then we putted over to the Charleston Maritime Centre (marina). Once Gypsy was settled we set off to explore this charming southern city. The architecture is lovely, and a wonderful walking city, but what we didn’t expect was how toney folks are here – they were dressed to the nines! We walked pretty much all day and really enjoyed it all. Tomorrow we’re off down the ICW! – OMG a raccoon just went along our deck past our porthole… now he is sitting in our cockpit!! – those downtown city raccoons are some smart! – he took off before I could get his photo. In the evening there was the strangest crackling sound on the hull of the boat – like when you put milk on rice krispies – it was the sound of tiny shrimp!!
